Default Setting up your own affiliate program onsite

Hi all,
I'm about to launch a website based here in New Zealand and would like to have an affiliate module added in so I can have affiliates signup with me and help promote the site while they earn a commission on the products their visitors sell.
I have spent a lot of time searching and about the best I have found so far is a product called JAM from Start, Promote and Manage Your Own Successful Affiliate Marketing Program
It seems to integrate into almost any shopping cart imagineable but I'm not quite ready to risk taking the plunge. I am still testing this program and would like other peoples comments if possible?
The most important things to me is that it integrates seamlessly into a readily available shopping cart system (I particularly like oscommerce and zen.) It MUST track affiliate sales accurately, I do not want affiliates missing out on sales commissions. I would like it to be simple and quick to use on the admin side of things, I don't want to be spending hours upon hours administering the affiliate program.
And I would also like returning visitors to be credited to the affiliate also, ie if a customer arrives via an affiliates link but doesn't buy at that time yet comes back a few days later and buys the affiliate should be credited. Also repeat purchases should be credited to the affiliate, so if an affiliate sends me a customer, they buy something all goes well, the affiliate is credited and then next month when I send out the product updates to subscribers and that customer comes back and buys again I'd like that sale to be credited to teh affiliate also. For a period of up to 12 months.

Does anyone use an affiliate program that does this? Have you researched running your own affiliate program yourself?
Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Well I asked a couple of questions on their forum and had a play with the affiliate module and it does appear that it does what I want plus a bit more. So if anyone was considering setting up their own site and wanted to run their own affiliate program I'd suggest giving this program a try. It seems fairly easy to operate, I am going to be testing it with some of my own links before I let loose with affiliates.
